The Maryland Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (MSOMS) is a non-profit professional organization serving the oral and maxillofacial community throughout the state.
The purpose of this Society shall be:
- To contribute to the public health and welfare of the State of Maryland by educating the people of the State regarding the qualifications and functions of dentists who have limited their practice to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- To promote and encourage the advancement of the practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- To encourage the members to discharge their Civic and Professional responsibilities to the community.
- To provide among its members, opportunities for social and professional community service.
- To provide a means of self-government relating to professional standards, ethical behavior and responsibilities of its members
